Key duties and details for Machine Operator | Extrusion:

• Operate extrusion machines, interlocking armor, filler and rework machines used in the manufacturing of world class fiber optic cable
• Review set up sheets and product codes to determine product to be manufactured
• Machine adjustments
• Machine set up
• Monitor machines and measure and inspect product against quality standards
• Print cables using jet and mechanical printers
• Fill, empty and monitor material dryers
• Operate rework lines
• Complete all documentation

Qualifications for Machine Operator | Extrusion:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year related work experience
• Machine Operator experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist and reach
